This programme runs over 2 days and introduces the participants to employment law legislation. The workshop will impart the knowledge, skills and abilities to deal effectively with employee issues. The knowledge will ensure that participants understand the role and responsibilities of the employer, and the rights of the employee under legislation.

What are the main areas of employment law
What are the various types of contracts including permanent, fixed-term and specific purpose
The need for policies & procedures in the employment relationship
Ensuring compliance with various legislation including policy congruence
Dealing with workplace queries in relation to employee rights
Ensure that dismissals are fair and proportionate
Understand the various codes of practice and where to find useful resources.
