This programme runs over 2 days and introduces the participants to employment law legislation. The workshop will impart the knowledge, skills, and confidence to enable participants understand the role and responsibilities of the employer, and the rights of the employee under legislation.

What are the main areas of employment law 
The various types of contracts including permanent, fixed-term, and specific-purpose 
The importance of policies and procedures in the employment relationship 
Ensuring policies and procedures are congruent 
Handling employee relations 
Understanding the dismissal process and ensuring fairness in the process 
Awareness of the codes of practice and where to find useful resources 
Who should attend: 
Managers including line management 
HR specialists

Workshop places are limited to ensure maximum attention to individuals 
Workshops will proceed subject to sufficient interest and bookings for same 
Refunds will be made should the workshop be cancelled or within 72 hours notice.
