Apple Co-Founder Steve Jobs, in his 2005 Stanford University Commencement Address, emphasized the importance of doing great work to achieve true satisfaction. However, the world is facing a jobs crisis, with the actual global unemployment rate possibly exceeding 30%. More importantly, only around 300 million people out of 3.3 billion who desire a great job have one. This scarcity of great jobs is the real global jobs crisis, and it calls for a new metric, the great jobs rate, to hold leaders accountable for improving people's lives.
